    Spring and fall are great times to see a variety of migrating bird species including thrushes, warblers, sparrows and vireos. Adults can walk with a park naturalist to see who is visiting Gibson Woods. You can join us Wednesdays in the spring at 9:30 am April 18-June 13 and in the fall August 15-October 3.   6. I Spy a Dragonfly Class

    Come learn about the structure and behavior of the common dragonfly at Gibson Woods. This class will also help familiarize you about the various species of Dragonflies common to Northwest Indiana. Take your new skills on the road by signing up for some of the “I Spy Dragonfly Hunts” which will take place across Northwest Indiana and provide hands on experience.
