Each year June through September every day at 11 am Bellaboo’s outdoor garden is tended to by YOU! Foster a love of gardening in your little one with these fun activities. The flowers and vegetable garden at Bellaboo’s is planted, showered and loved completely by kids! Each day little diggers will feature garden songs, worm digs and eco-friendly information that young minds can dig their shovels into!

Spring is a great times to see a variety of migrating bird species including thrushes, warblers, sparrows and vireos. Adults can walk with a park naturalist to see who is visiting Gibson Woods. You can join us Wednesdays in the spring at 9:30 AM now-June 13. Program is free but registration is required, call 219-844-3188

Make a masterpiece with flowers, rocks, and leaves. Who needs paintbrushes when you have nature! Program is designed for children ages 10 and under along with their families. Check out our other Summer in the Park programs happening every Wednesday from June 13th - August 8!

Adults interested in photography are invited to attend monthly gatherings on the 2nd Wednesday where photographers from novice to professional share ideas and learn about contests and other events. Members go on shoots together, as well as exhibit their work in the Historic Wood’s Grist Mill . Attendees are invited to show prints or digital images of a different topic each month.
