    Each year June through September every day at 11 am Bellaboo’s outdoor garden is tended to by YOU! Foster a love of gardening in your little one with these fun activities. The flowers and vegetable garden at Bellaboo’s is planted, showered and loved completely by kids! Each day little diggers will feature garden songs, worm digs and eco-friendly information that young minds can dig their shovels into!

    Kids enjoy the best of Bellaboo’s plus added STEM play & fun while you enjoy a guilt-free date! Send your children to Bellaboo’s for a night devoted to play with our enthusiastic and trusted fun conductors. Children will make and partake in their own personal pita pizzas in Children’s Cooking for healthy evening snack and beverage. Have your kids join us for this fun and science-y night . This drop-off evening is designed for ages 3 to 9 who are able to use the bathroom independently. Pre-registration is required, call and secure your little ones spot!

    Brad Baumgardner, Executive Director of Indiana Audubon Society, will have a bird banding demonstration at Gibson Woods with any birds he is able to capture in his mist nets.     Designed for kids ages 2-6 along with their grown-up, this series of monthly playdates invites visitors to get out and explore the natural wonders of the different Lake County Parks. On the 3rd Friday of the month, meet at the assigned park from 10-11 AM and see what that park has in store for us!     Gibson Woods is home to 23 documented species of dragonflies, as well as many butterflies. This year’s hikes will include a focus on butterflies as we walk each Tuesday from May 29-September 25 to find out who is flitting about.
