Amphibians and Reptiles (Herps) of the Calumet Region: Industrial Strength Herpetology in a Post-Industrial Landscape

In spite of large-scale habitat destruction, there are still sizable remnants of the patchwork of natural habitats that make the Calumet Region unique. The number of herp species is quite large because the Calumet is where the eastern deciduous forest and the midwestern prairie meet. Alan Resetar, retired manager of the Field Museum's Amphibian and Reptile collections, will share his love and knowledge of this amazing group of animals.
