Quilling For Beginners

Tuesdays, December 2-17  | Gibson Woods  
Ages 15 + | $5 fee

Quilling is an art form that involves rolling, shaping and gluing paper strips into decorative designs. Fee includes supplies needed to learn how to create your own nature-inspired design on a card using this centuries-old process.

Christmas at the Mill

December 14 and 15 | 10-5 PM 
Deep River County Park

Take a winter walk around the park and see the mill decorated for the season. Also stop in the park's gift shop to make an ornament, buy some hot chocolate, and finish your Christmas shopping. Wood’s Historic Grist Mill and park gift shop will be open both days.

$5 fee + skate rental if required
Ring in the new year as a family without having the kids out too late! Here in "Paddles' Time Zone" we'll toast to 2020 at a reasonable 8 PM! Skate your way to the new year surrounded by family and friends. We have the D.J. covered, and what would any party be without pizza and snacks?! Concession stands will be open all night!

No matter what you celebrate, December is full of Holiday traditions! Join us all month long for new creations, Winter World Celebrations, and so much more as we work to make sure every child feels included and accepted this season.

Be sure to stop in on Saturday, December 14th as Santa makes his last stop at Bellaboo's. He'll be visiting children and taking photos from 12-3 PM.

Join us as we celebrate the New Year in a way that’s just for kids! Forget midnight, at 2 PM we will have a countdown to a Big Balloon Drop & HAPPY NEW YEAR! Come early and get glittery, practice your toast making, and make some noise!

Increase your birding skills by joining us each week as we familiarize ourselves with bird songs we hear in Northwest Indiana throughout the year.

Winter Solstice Hike and Campfire

Thursday, December 21 | 10-11:30 AM | Oak Ridge Prairie | $5 per person
