Scout Programs

Scout leaders looking for fun and exciting ways for troop members to earn badges may make reservations at Gibson Woods Nature Preserve. A park naturalist will guide participants in exploring the wonderful world of nature. Our “Into the Woods” presentation can be tailored to fill several badge requirements for nature related badges (badge not included in program).

Badge programming is $2 per person, including adults, with a 10 person minimum and a 30 person maximum.

Groups must register at least two weeks in advance. For more information on program content, please call Gibson Woods at 219-844-3188.

Parks After Dark

Take advantage of not being bound by typical school hours for an after-hours peek around the parks. These guided sensory hikes are available at any of our Lake County Parks and provide a whole new way to experience the outdoors.
