Observatory Events

Located at Buckley Homestead, about 1 mile south of the barnyard, is the Calumet Astronomy Center. The center includes the Northwest Indiana Robotic (NIRo) Telescope and the Thomas Conway Observatory.

Lake County Parks & Rec is lucky to call the Calumet Astronomical Society a partner, and they host regular events at Thomas Conway Observatory. Each event is contingent upon clear weather. Program cancellation will be updated on their Facebook page or website at casonline.org

Monthly open houses will last 3 hours and are Saturdays, unless otherwise noted.
